We are currently recruiting for an Associate Director, Market Access Strategic Marketing.

Job Summary

The Associate Director, Market Access Strategic Marketing is responsible for leading the strategic marketing for the Tymlos brand (approved for patients with osteoporosis with high risk of fracture) and future brands added to the Radius portfolio. This position will support the development, implementation and execution of Market Access strategies and initiatives that are focused on key Payer/Trade/Channel customers to support the overall Radius Commercial and brand strategy. This position will report to the Vice President, Market Access & Trade and serve as a core member the Market Access & Trade Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Access Strategy & Marketing: Leads Market Access & Trade team strategic planning efforts to develop, implement, and execute the market access strategy and tactical plan in support of short and long-term strategy and performance objectives for Radius brands
    • Creates Value Proposition for Radius brands including clinical, marketing, and economic messages tailored for Payers/Trade/Channel customers and formulary decision-makers to protect, improve and maximize formulary access and reimbursement as appropriate
    • Works effectively with promotional review committee (PRC) to gain approval of market access and trade promotional materials, tactics, resources, programs, and training as required by Radius policies and guidelines
  • Access Pull-Through: Elevates Radius organizational capabilities to support Access Pull-Through for Radius brands
    • Leads development of competitive Payer Access pull-through platform and HCP-Payer mix opportunity segmentation with corresponding messages to effectively position Radius brands with customers. Includes defining key Access Pull-Through metrics for routine measurement, supporting communication of performance results and participating in cross-functional organizational efforts to identify/refine approach to maximize impact
    • Enhances business acumen and organizational understanding of the broader market access landscape (including key trends, market dynamics, Payer/Specialty Pharmacy/Trade capabilities, competitor behavior, etc.) through development and execution of Market Access training curriculum for internal organizational partners as appropriate
  • Radius Brand Strategic Planning: Proactively contributes to Marketing-lead Strategic Planning process though effective assimilation and communication of relevant, actionable market access and trade insights to inform brand strategy and support creation of innovative solutions for Radius brands
  • Government Policy: Actively seeks and maintains broad understanding of US Federal government and legislative policy changes (CMS, HHS, FDA, Congress, etc.) and proactively communicate potential risk/impact to Radius, pharmaceutical industry and other healthcare stakeholders such as Payers, pharmacies, distributors and patients
  • Strong collaboration and communication with internal Radius partners such as Market Access & Trade, Marketing, Field Sales, Communications, Medical/HEOR, Legal, Regulatory and Finance
  • Actively manage strategic partners/vendors to ensure execution of service agreements in support of Market Access Strategic Marketing initiatives (quality deliverables, timelines and budget)
  • Comply with all US and Radius compliance, regulatory and promotional guidelines and policies
  • Support additional commercial initiatives as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech and/or similar healthcare industry in Market Access or demonstrated transversal experience in Marketing, Sales and/or Medical – previous payer marketing and specialty drug experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead and cultivate exceptional relationships with both internal partners and external vendors/stakeholders
  • Understanding of the US payer landscape, payer market dynamics, payer marketing principles and how market access organizations make decisions across private & public channels
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and cross-team collaboration skills
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate information in a complex environment and prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical utilization data, formulary coverage, and an ability to analyze trends - experience in data mining, modeling, and contract analysis a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
